Today, people just passing the building on tour report fainting or becoming nauseous, and of course, disembodied screams or wailing are still occasionally heard.

Beaten and starved by the LaLauries, a dozen or so mutilated slaves gathered on the sidewalk on Hospital Street, to the horror of the guests still assembled outside.
